COMMERCIAL OBJECTIVE
To overhaul existing market products with a new minimalist and fully integrated design, with the potential to extend to a family of products and establish the company as the brand leader in this area.
DESIGN OBJECTIVE
To design a new and innovative product solution for Marine Transom/ Deck Showering, minimising the product footprint on the deck and allowing for simple installation or retro-fi t.
DESIGN THEME
The main design theme was to change the traditional perception of a Deck Shower as a “Telephone Unit”. The theme centred around the design of a “wand”; integrating the taps and the mixer into a single hand-held unit.
TARGET AUDIENCE
The primary target market for Twist are large Marine Building companies such as Sunseeker and Beneteau; but the product can be retro-fi tted by the general public and has design variations for the RV market.
JURY COMMENTS
The jury comments are that it is a lovely simple design. Easy to apply and looks the part for the target marine sector – with many other possible applications.
