Title: New Entry and Exit Experience at the Guinness Storehouse
Designer: Mark Leslie MIDI
Company: Martello Media
Website: www.martellomedia.com
COMMERCIAL OBJECTIVE
Guinness Storehouse is Dublin's leading visitor attraction with over 1million visitors per year. Guinness wish to maintain a steady growth in numbers in the face of a challenging market by consistently upgrading their visitor experience.
DESIGN OBJECTIVE
To streamline the visitor experience, evoke Guinness's origins in the new entrance, maximise the impact of the impressive pint-shaped atrium, clarify the route through the building, and to finish with a wow factor that reinforces the brand.
DESIGN THEME
We had two design themes. The new entrance was to evoke the original use of the Storehouse, while elsewhere we drew inspiration from the product itself, in particular the dynamics of the surge and settle.
TARGET AUDIENCE
Designed to cater for the complete range of visitors to the Guinness Storehouse (of which 5% are Irish and 95% are International)
