COMMERCIAL OBJECTIVE
Create opener for programme on the stories of the streets of the cities, towns and villages of Ireland. Stories would be the good, bad & ugly, of events big and small, recent and from history told by the people themselves.

DESIGN OBJECTIVE
Make a personable opener. Greatest problem was that no street could be recognisable but at the same time must be Ireland. Solution - Build it from scratch. Hand illustrated houses with train model people to represent the stories and streets.

DESIGN THEME
Michel Gondry and the joy of handmaking an opener using very little computers! With the restrictions and small budget it fit perfectly. Houses had two different sides to represent different scenes. New rostrum table created specifically for final shot

TARGET AUDIENCE
Wide target audience, essentially anyone from 24+. Idea was to create a personable unique opener to represent the unique stories being told, creating a storytelling atmosphere to appeal to this broad range. Song used called 'Old Fashioned' fits perfectly.
