COMMERCIAL OBJECTIVE
I wanted to create a satchel bag that required a minimum amount of construction and could be made in various sizes without altering the aesthetic.
DESIGN OBJECTIVE
The thick rawhide leather makes for a very robust bag. And although they are very much a contemporary design the leather ensures they maintain an old-fashioned quality.
DESIGN THEME
To promote the quality of leather by keeping the design as simple as possible. The fold-over construction has an envelope style flap that tucks into the bag to close with the chunky stitching as a primary feature.
TARGET AUDIENCE
In a light colour leather the satchels appeal to ladies, whereas in a darker brown they are being used as man-bags.
