COMMERCIAL OBJECTIVE
BMR Slendertone identified an entirely new opportunity in anti-aging cosmetics, using gentle electrotherapy to tone and rejuvenate the face. The objective: to embody this innovation in a product, while moving the established Slendertone brand into the beauty space.
DESIGN OBJECTIVE
The design objective was to shift the paradigm of facial cosmetics; to do so while creating an object which visually communicates originality. We set out to balance these needs with an ergonomic requirement for human "fit" and prolonged comfort.
DESIGN THEME
The core of this product is the concept "New Beauty" primarily the idea of cosmetic treatment as healing, not concealing. We endeavoured to create a design which captures the health, purity and deep well-being associated with New Beauty./p>
TARGET AUDIENCE
The Slendertone Face is aimed primarily at a female, 30+ demographic.
