Nationwide Survey: I Am A Designer Report Published
In order to effectively support design businesses in Ireland, IDI is developing a strategy for data collection to better understand our sector’s needs
and support future growth of business. As such we launched the Nationwide Survey; I Am A Designer in January 2024, which captured data across Ireland in order to understand the changing landscape of the sector.
We wish to thank those who participated in the survey, and wish to communicate that under the Roadmap for Digital Creative Industries we are working with partners and government agencies to develop a long-term strategy for data collection. Going forward this will allow IDI and its members to rely on and benefit from insight-driven knowledge that shapes the direction of business development and innovation.
Ireland’s design sector stands at an exciting juncture, adapting to change due to post-covid realities, increasing hybridised working conditions, the development of regional talent clusters and the rise of in-house design teams. Here we delve into the scale of the design sector, explore emerging trends, and examine available data to shed light on the evolving landscape of design in Ireland.
