Make a difference in improving gender equity in the design sector. IDI is looking for 2 WhyDesign volunteers across the field of event management, graphic design and communication campaigns.

Then volunteer with us!
WhyDesign is an IDI initiative working to address the gender imbalance in the Irish design industry, by showcasing influential female Irish designers and bringing the community together for an annual International Women’s Day event.
We are looking to recruit at least 2 new volunteers to help update our collection of online interviews at whydesign.ie and assist in organising our annual event in March.
Our small and welcoming steering group meets regularly online in the run up to International Women’s Day, working together to execute the programme of activities.
Areas we need support with include:
- Graphics creation
- Copywriting
- Social media posting
- Speaker research
- Event management
- Identifying sponsorship opportunities
- Strategic direction of WhyDesign activities
Desirable:
Wordpress experience
Skills in Video production and/or motion design
Duration: We hope to start working on our website and interviews from September; however the bulk of activity will take place in the 8 weeks from January to March organising the IWD event.
